When it comes to deal with average and weak students, teachers and parents have to do more struggle. This process sometimes gets frustrating, that’s why being teacher means a person with lot’s of patience! This blog will not only helpful for teachers but also helpful for all those people who do self study. It describes some amazing methods of teaching, so here we go!!

Motivation Method [ recommended for Elementary to middle high school students/ dyslexic students ]
I had a student, he was an average student and he got confused all the time, he used to get afraid to answer even if he answered correctly. He had fear and lack of confidence, I observed this thing. To treat this weakness in him, the first step which I took, is appreciating him for his every answer, whether his answer is wrong or right. Whenever he answered wrong, I never said “you are wrong” instead I said “your answer is lacking something important”. This is my way to correct people. Motivation method really worked on that student and now he got upper than average level. We need motivation to grow, no matter how old we are!

Reward Method/Self Reward Method[ Recommended for college and high school students]
Reward Method is quite powerful but often considered slightly negative because it can bring the feeling of greed in children, they start expecting reward for everything which they do, but we all know the fact that life does not give rewards for everything! This method could be used by adult students, it can work on them for sure. why and how? Adult students face more difficulty while studying since they have lot’s of distractions like social media, hanging out with friends, relationships etc. You can turn your distractions into rewards, Yes!! let’s say you study 5 hours a day, you give yourself this target and also promise, that if you successfully complete it, you give yourself a reward like using social media or playing video game or hanging out with friends. The greed for reward, gets you fulfill your study target. in few weeks brain will develop this habit but remember one important thing, with each day we need to increase the amount of target and decrease the time and amount of reward.

Switch the Role Method { recommended for weak students of all classes]
Switch the role method sounds strange! but this includes multiple benefits for those students who are isolated or neglected in classroom. I have come up with this method. In traditional teaching, a teacher explains the chapter and arrange the test, some students get great scores some hardly pass the test. What’s the solution for it? To improve their performance in class, teacher needs to switch the role with them, they should be given a task, that they will explain the topic in front of class and believe me! they will make mistake initially but sooner or later they not only start to understand the concern subject but this technique also helps them to build self esteem and public speaking skills and gradually their level will get better with time. Try this method with your weak students or children, it will work definitely!!
Thanks for your time..
